Valley Art Center Recognizes Exemplary Service

     Volunteers are the lifeline at the Valley Art Center!  At this year's Annual Meeting, held Wednesday, September 12, the VAC Board of Trustees decided to implement a new program and recognize two individuals, whose dedication and commitment go above and beyond.  
     Kathy Vencl, Child Education Chair and Preschool Instructor, is the first VAC recipient of our VOLUNTEER OF THE YEAR award. Her countless hours spent organizing the Children's Booth at Art by the Falls, the annual Children's Holiday Workshop and decorations for many of our annual fundraisers, are greatly appreciated!
     Kirk Gebler, Chairperson for Art by the Falls for over 25 years and serving in many different capacities on the Board of Trustees, is the first VAC recipient of our DISTINGUISHED SERVICE AWARD.  His continuous dedication to solve any problem, chair any committee and complete any project, all while keeping a huge smile, is a wonderful asset to the art center!  
     Be sure to congratulate these wonderful individuals when you see them around the art center!

VOLUNTEER YOUR TALENTS!

Grab an apron, a hammer or a blender...and have some fun!  Our volunteers assist teachers in the classrooms; help ready our gallery for new shows with nails and paintbrushes; prepare food for our gallery openings and special events; and, decorate the building for annual fundraisers!   Whatever your talent...we need you!
