Ruby, Ruby... all things RED

Opening Reception:  Friday, January 20 from 6-8pm
January 21 - March 8, 2012

Did you know that RED is any number of colors revealed by light consisting predominantly of the longest wavelengths of light detectable by the human eye?  The Valley Art Center started its 2012 gallery season with an exhibit that examined the many sides of RED.
Used to symbolize passion and courage as well as danger and fear, studies indicate that RED provokes the strongest reaction of all colors. How would you react to RED?
Many visitors joined us to look at a color that teases all of our senses—touch, smell, taste, sound and sight!
