Art Strikes A Pose-Wearable Art Exhibit

Opening Reception: Friday, September 9 from 6-8pm

     It all starts with a simple fiber and an idea! Then fast-forward to the final finished fabric and then the garment or accessory!  The Valley Art
Center invited visitors to explore the many avenues of creating beautiful textiles and how to fashion the cloths into wearable one-of-a-kind pieces of art.  ART STRIKES A POSE, WEARABLE ART EXHIBIT, focused on Cleveland’s design talent in fashion as well as textiles. 
     This was a wonderful opportunity to discover fabulous design talent,
right in our own backyard from hand knitted wraps, up-cycled jackets and felted gowns to one-of-a-kind lace wedding dresses, felted gloves and beaded handbags. 
     The VAC would like to thank Multicraft Inc., owner, Ron Davis, for his continued support of our gallery programs.
