ART BY THE FALLS 2012
June 9-10

     Discover the 29th annual ART BY THE FALLS, presented by the VALLEY ART CENTER (VAC), on Saturday, June 9 (10am-7pm) and Sunday, June 10 (11am-5pm.)  This free, two-day, juried fine arts and contemporary crafts festival was held in Riverside Park in the heart of charming Chagrin Falls.  Over 100 artists from around the country presented varied artwork ranging from paintings, drawings, photography and sculpture to textiles, jewelry, weaving and ceramics. 
      Visitors spent the day with the family and friends enjoying live music, entertainment, a delicious selection of foods and drinks, and wonderful artwork from around the country.  Our Children's Art Tent gave kids a chance to create their own masterpiece while trying something new!
Visitors also watched live demonstrations by select local artists.  
     Our Raffle Booth had one piece of artwork donated by EACH festival artist (Yes that means over 100 pieces!)  For every $50 spent on art, visitors received a free raffle ticket!  Tickets were also purchased, $1.00 per ticket and 6 for $5.00.  VAC surveys were also completed at our booth and  visitors received another free raffle ticket.  The Raffle Booth was definitely a busy area with lots a happy winners glad for the opportunity to win something special from their favorite ART BY THE FALLS artist!
     This year's jurors were:  Bud Deihl, Painter, Instructor and Past President of Columbus College of Art & Design; Vicky DiMichele, Creative Director, Traveline Travel Services, CIA graduate; and, Ed Zmarzly, owner, Light Sculpture Works, CIA graduate.
